Renewed Call for Proposals in TEN-T Motorways of the Sea |
An ongoing call has been issued under the TEN-T programme for Motorways of the Sea project proposals in the Baltic Sea area. The call focuses on the period 2009-2013, and a two-stage procedure continues to apply.
At first stage, applications will be submitted to authorities of coordinating Member State. Project proposals that are approved at the first stage may subsequently be submitted to the European Commission.
Applications in Finland should be submitted to the Transport Infrastructure Agency.
The indicative budget to Motorways of the Sea projects is 310 million euros. The following budget allocations are planned:
- 85 million euros in 2009
- 100 million euros in 2010
- 50 million euros in 2011
- 25 million euros in 2012
The maximum aid level for national infrastructure projects is 20% and 30% in cross-border projects. Aid for supporting studies is up to 50%.
Consortia should include at least ports and maritime transport operators. TEN-T aid for Motorways of the Sea supports development of infrastructure and facilities, such as development of IT or safety and security.
Start-up aid for shipping lines can be applied under the Marco Polo II programme of the European Commission.
